The primary purpose of the meeting was to bring together policy modelers and subject matter experts to discuss the initial round of modeling results generated from the first EMF 25 meeting in Washington DC during November 2008 and to refine scenario designs to be run in the coming months. Over the course of the meeting, participants also identified outstanding methodological issues and data requirements, clarified the scope and purpose of the overall study, and reached consensus on desired outputs and outcomes. The goal is to reconvene in approximately six months to discuss the revised scenario results and begin to draw conclusions and prepare final study results. The estimated completion date for the project is to have a final meeting in spring 2010 and a report issued sometime over that summer.
