Wednesday, November 18, 2020 to Thursday, November 19, 2020
The Stanford Energy Modeling Forum and the USC Schwarzenegger Institute are hosting this on-line symposium on California climate policy relating to air pollution and the electrification of transportation.
Transportation is a major infrastructure sector of the economy. It is also the major source of growth in air pollution in California. It is critical that we determine the reasons for growth in these emissions and explore ways to curb them in a cost-effective and equitable manner. This workshop will follow on a previous collaborative symposium at USC in November 2019.
Although this Symposium will again focus primarily on the transportation sector in California, a secondary theme will be on electricity grid integration of the large number of electric vehicles now mandated in the state over the next couple of decades.
